This particular shoot took place in the heart of the Karoo during spring, when the land was alive with vibrant blossoms, creating a breathtaking natural setting. The couple stood together amidst the flowers, the soft, golden light of the season enhancing their joy and connection. As the moon began to rise, it cast a gentle glow across the scene, with a majestic mountain standing proudly in the background. The stillness of the moment, coupled with the natural beauty of the surroundings, made it a truly magical experience, forever preserving the excitement and love that fills the air during such a monumental time in their lives.
These photos will be a timeless reminder of the love and hope that surrounded the beginning of their family’s new chapter.
2 Tips when planning your maternity shoot:
Choose the Right Clothing: Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Flowing dresses in soft fabrics work wonderfully for maternity shoots, as they accentuate the baby bump and create a timeless, graceful look. Solid colors or light patterns often work best to keep the focus on you, but feel free to incorporate textures or layers for added depth.
Prepare for the Timing: Scheduling your shoot during the right time of day, such as golden hour, can make a huge difference in the final images. It’s best to plan the shoot around 28-34 weeks when your bump is prominent but you’re still comfortable moving around. Make sure to hydrate and rest beforehand so you feel relaxed and energized.
